Meet the Dams

Greyhounds are known for their grace and speed. Our female greyhounds are champions on the field and beloved members of the ARK Kennel family. Our dams, Lilac, Blondie, and Rain, are AKC registered

FC Keltic Lilac SC DCAT

Known around the Kennel as Lilac or Lacky, this beautiful brindle has been honored in her first season of Lure Course Racing and Fast Cats as a Field Champion, Senior Courser, and BCAT. She is as sweet as she is fast and comes from a long line of Racing Greyhounds. Born in Texas, she made the trip to our kennel at 6 months. This playful girl will let you know several times a day it’s time to go outside and play.

Keltic Blondie DCAT

Blondie gets her name from her beautiful fawn coat. She is the feisty one in the kennel who loves playing tug of war with the males. Blondie also loves to show off her speed as if to say, “You can’t catch me!” Yes, she has got both looks and personality. Blondie is Lilac’s half-sister and was whelped in Texas before moving to ARK Kennel. Blondie’s bloodlines also reflect her Racing Greyhound heritage, dating back nearly 200 years.

Greyhound named Rain, our newest dam, relaxing at the kennel

Feels Like Rain

Rain is our newest dam. She comes from a racing background. Although she was set to race in West Virginia, a toe injury kept her off the track. We’re glad her racing career ended before it started, because Rain is a sweet and playful little girl whom we love to have in our home. We recently brought her to our kennel from a Greyhound farm in Kansas, where she was whelped and raised. Rain is registered with the NGA and AKC.
